Position: Programming Coordinator

Overview

BAMBD, CDC seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Programming Coordinator to manage the calendar for BAM House, oversee rental proposals and licensing agreements for interested community organizations and groups, and serve as a key point person for the annual BAMBDFest, including booking talent and day-of coordination throughout the festival.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calendar Management: maintain and coordinate the monthly and annual BAM House calendar, ensuring all events are scheduled efficiently
  • Rental Coordination: act as the primary contact for all theater rentals, managing inquiries, bookings, and licensing agreements with community organizations and groups
  • Event Support: provide logistical support for theater events, ensuring smooth operations from booking to event execution
  • BAMBDFest Coordination: serve as a key point person for the annual BAMBDFest, in charge of coordinating festival programming, liaising with artists and vendors, and ensuring successful event programming
  • Community Engagement: foster relationships with local community organizations to encourage theater use and participation in BAMBD, CDC initiatives
  • Administrative Duties: handle administrative tasks related to bookings, contracts, and event coordination, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations

Qualifications

  • AA in a relevant field or two years of experience
  • Proven experience in event coordination or programming, preferably in a community arts or cultural organization
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse community groups
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and basic administrative tools, including Google Suite
  • Commitment to BAMBD, CDC’s mission and values, and a passion for supporting the arts and culture community

Salary Range (depending on experience): $62,000-70,000

Hours: 28–32 hours/week
